beginnings of a civil war quilt

this was a kit my hubby picked out when we went to Paducah a few years back. had to step away from the longarm for a while as he kept "reminding" me about it.

I love those civil war fabrics and I just got Carol Hopkins new CW book. Your quilt is going to be fabulous when it is done!

next 4 blocks are done. I did find I mistakenly swapped 2 fabrics. found that as I started on block #9. lesson learned. check all fabrics against block instructions before making blocks. it was the difference of a light brown and a light pinkish brown. won't make a difference in the quilt. oye!

Oh beautiful. I love Civil war fabrics. I think I bought a jelly roll in my stash just because I loved the fabric with no actual plans for any quilt in mind.
