My husband rolled his eyes when I said how chuffed I was with all my points, my answer was that other quilters would certainly appreciate the work required even if he didn't. I used Deb Tucker's rapid fire ruler and it was a joy to do. I had planned to FMQ all over but it was too heavy going with having the teddy fur fleece as backing so just did the outer border. I did stitch in the ditch every flippin seam though. No wadding is required when using the fleece and it makes it so cuddly as a lap quilt. I put labour time and fabric cost on the label for the first time and it will be interesting to see how the costings change in 10 or 20 years from now.
