I keep hearing about the binding tool but don't know what it is. Do you have to have it to make this star, which by the way is absolutely gorgeous? Your cross would look right at home in a church with the other stained windows.

I love your binding tool star! Did you have a pattern for the white background? I don't think I've seen one done like that. And your stained-glass cross is lovely!

You can make the binding tool star with a ruler with a 45 degree angle on the end. Cut your strips at 8" and then trim one end of the strip at 45 degrees. I couldn't find my binding tool when I made my first one. Found out I really didn't need it.

I found the binding tool at my LQS which carries quite a few of M*'s templates, the BLOCK, & has held classes featuring several of Jenny's patterns. That quilt is the only thing I've used the binding tool template for; I do my bindings a dif. way. This is the baby quilt I made using the binding tool. I used blue background fabric rather than white. This was made with 1930's reprod. fabrics.Finished Binding Tool Star Quilt - April, 2015 002.jpg

I agree with this quilt crowd! A lovely idea with the stained glass and the cross. Like the white too on the binding tool star!

I love both of your quilt. I just made a sashed half hexie but it doesn't compare to yours. What a perfect use of the pattern with the cross and the 'stained glass' effect of the blocks. Great Job!!

Both of your quilts are really lovely! Very creative to put the cross in the center - looks perfect! I really like the binding tool star with the white. Very striking. Thanks for sharing.
