Keeping busy, but not with quilts!

Many of you know that I am a costumer for various theatre groups here in STL. The past few months have been busy with some big costume jobs, and my latest has been building and gathering for Moon Over Buffalo. This one is called a play within a play within a play! Only 8 people in it, but most of them have 3 costumes. Last night's tech rehearsal was my first one with everyone fully costumed. The show is a madcap farce (with requisite 5 doors on the set!). Many goings in and out of the doors! They are all losing weight with all the aerobic running around on stage, Our main actor playing Cyrano deBergerac is an award winning comedic actor, a very funny guy who I have worked with several times in the past!

Here is our Merry band of actors and actresses!

    Cyrano's nose tells no lies!

We do have actresses who appear in normal clothing!

I wasn't sure a week ago that this was going to come together, but luckily it did, with some help from my friend and fellow costumer!

Now on to 4 more shows between now and Nov. 5!

But today, I am going to work on quilts!

Love to hear about the costumes and the plays. You are very talented. But I have a question for you. What do you do with all the scraps left over? Kathy
All quilts cat tested and approved.

They are part of a great massive build-up of theatre stash! Sometimes they come in handy, as all of the doublets and pants ( except for Cyrano's) were made from scraps from other shows. Sure saves on the show budget!

Modified some pimp-daddy hats that somebody gave me and 2 of them were borrowed.
