    border quilting ideas

I am SO stuck now. the center is all quilted, feathers. let me tell you, I am now tired of feathers! lol. it's the borders turn, and I am open to suggestions. thought about doing the crosshatching there, as I did in that small square, but when I drew it out, it's over-whelming......I could echo the straight lines I've done so far, but that seems too plain......

What you have done looks fabulous. I like the idea of echoing your lines. But another idea may be to do something a bit more curvy - similar to what Leah Day does with her echo shell stitching. I'm sure you will get some great ideas!

Since the center is so fancy I would go with echoing the outline.

        "Plain" can be very striking.

I think you have done a fabulous job!! Plan is fine. The fancy stuff is in the middle. Beautiful quilt! Just take a break, walk away and then you will have new eyes and breath to do the border. Good luck!!

My thought is to continue the straight line outline of the geometric of the border. I love straight lines, especially when they border something fancy and curvy. Gives another place to look, but doesn't add too much to be cluttered.

I also think the echoing is complementing your gorgeous quilting on the center. I would continue the echo.

TocanTango, I followed your board on Pinterest that you posted. I don't have time to look at now, but just glancing at it, it has some great ideas. Thanks for posting.
