    free standing applique pumpkin

Thought I'd start on a fall project to keep my mind off the heat. Did this pumpkin on my embroidery machine. Perserverance was the word for this one and some others I can't repeat! Took a long time to stitch out but the tricky part was getting all those little tabs through the holes that's where the pirate talk came in. The company that makes this pattern sells a tool to make it easier but since I didn't have that and had to improvise it wasn't quite that easy.

That's a fabulous piece, Cathy!! I can see the little tabs and can only wonder how you managed them. Pirate talk is allowed from time to time. Did you keep track of how many hours it took to stitch out?

This is so pretty...it amazes me what all can be done on an embroidery machine. I have not attempted anything like this, or even close...no FSL yet. I do love to applique though.

I can't get over the fact that you made that!!!! Awesome job. It looks so professionally done. All your efforts really paid off. What would we do without pirate talk at times like these? I'm a firm believer that it holds down the blood pressure. hahaha
