This quilt is just a little flannel panel from JoAnn's. The satin-stitching around the owls was already there. All I did was quilt: outline stitched around owls, tree, and large leaves. Then I added the lines in the tree trunk with my even-feed (walking) foot, and did some very wonky fmq'ing around the little leaf groups at the bottom. I made a plastic leaf-shape template and traced around it for the inner (brown) border, and followed the lines on the outer border.

I didn't find out until I got the fabric home why it was on clearance: there was a rip in the outer border. I used some fusible interface on the back, and used one of my decorative stitches to hold it together. Not thrilled, but it's actually almost not noticeable in person.
