    Some worthless ugly quilting

    Funny.
    Today had a client. She entered my sewing and quilting studio today and claimed: "Oh no! Not that! It is not what I want!"
    She saw my works on FB. She knew that I was a quilter. She wants an applique wallhanging without quilting.
    When I asked her: "What's wrong with the quilting?" she said:
    "It looks so stupid and ordinary. There is nothing in it. In Korea all women have ugly quilted skirts and your quilts remind me that. And plus you quilt free hand, it is so stupid with modern computerized machines!! You make so much stupid worthless work!!"
    WHAT?!

    Oh, my, that lady must not be in her right mind! Your work is gorgeous; please don't let her unkind - and untrue! - words discourage you.

    My mother would not be happy with me if I were to suggest you answer her with the words I am thinking, so I will advise you not to dignify her foolishness with a response.

      There is no accounting for taste and obviously she doesn't have any. Your quilting is beautiful.

        It's really ugly, that's for sure. How rude can someone be? You are one of my favorite quilters here. Such beautiful work!

          Lose that client, QUICK! I've never seen a stupid ugly thing coming from under your needle! Everything is beautiful! Please do not let a person like this ruin your day! You do not need her money or her opinions! You are one of the finest quilters I've seen!

            Your quilting is awesome...I don't know how anyone could be so cruel...
            and, she obviously knows nothing about quilting...I can only hope to quilt like you someday...your quilting is so inspiring...

              As a gracious southern lady we have a special saying for situations like this. We say "Bless her heart"

              You know your quilting is gorgeous. It takes a special and unique mind set to create the beautiful pieces of art that you create.

              So bless your heart too.

                Your work it gorgeous. She must just have totally different taste. Showed this to my husband and he said did you ask her if she was stupid.

                  Your work is absolutely beautiful - her attitude is ugly. I'm glad you are not taking her worthless comments to heart. Keep on doing what you do - your quilts are amazing!

                    I would love to be able to quilt as beautifully as you do! I don't know where that woman's head is. Obviously she doesn't know what she's talking about!

                      Good grief!!!! I, for one, have great admiration for the fine work you do, Larinelle. Your FMQ is gorgeous and so well executed. I don't understand why she felt compelled to be soooo rude. Certainly if you don't like someone's work there is no need to be unkind. I don't get it. If she saw your work online and didn't like it why bother coming to see you? Very odd indeed.

                        You quilting is awesome! I personally could never take on a client like that. It's just not in my nature to put up with someone that rude.

                            Cruel, snide remarks from a bitter woman with one goal...to hurt you. Tune her out and let her go elsewhere to spread her poison. You do fabulous quilting. Hold your head up and continue your quilting journey with a happy heart. Hugs ((HUGS)))
