That is georgous! I love black & red quilts, and really love that you didn't square off the bottom. Your quilting is beautiful too!

What a gorgeous job and I love the Minky on the back. That's a fantastic quilt design. Did you quilt it on a longarm?

Hi Rebecca, Thanks for the compliment. I saw Angela Walters do that design and really liked it, so that's where that came from. I quilted this on my Babylock straight stitch machine. I think they are calling her Jane now.

I didn't have to mark my quilt either. I downloaded an APP on my tablet called Sketcher and was able to download the picture of the quilt and then practice doodling on it and decide what I like, also gives you that muscle memory. I'm pretty sure I'll be making another one of these quilts. I really like the 3-D effect.

Your quilt is striking and the quilting is fab....have been thinking about tackling a rhombus quilt but am trembling at the thought of all the y-seams!

Oh Heavens No! No Y seams!!!! Here's Jenny's tutorial. I did purchase the template and it's the first template I've purchased that I actually used! I just assumed everyone watches all of Jenny's tutorials every Friday and knew this doesn't involve Y seams. So easy, check it out.
