Finally! Finished and Delivered! This quilt was a cooperative effort between Izzy and me. She chose the design - cats in the middle, snails on the outside. I had to change the top and bottom borders to chevrons because I was running out of the selected materials.
Izzy selected the fabrics; coordinated them for the cat blocks and choose the order of the colors for the snail borders. I merely did the piecing and quilting!
All the materials were from my stash, except for the chevron background and the flannel backing. I did SITD for the cat blocks and then did echo quilting inside the cat blocks. I did pebbles around the snails and echo quilting in and outside the chevrons. I also did some wavy line quilting on the borders.
While I was quilting, I found one block that was set incorrectly. I wasn't about to change it at that point. I didn't tell anyone, but Izzy found it very quickly. She said it made the snails look like dolphins. Can you find it in the first picture?

This picture show a bit of the pebble quilting around the snails - I really like how that turned out.
