Wow! You did such a fantastic job with this quilt! I'm so glad you stuck with it. I hope you aren't giving this one away. Who cares if it took a year? It's done now and you'll have it for a lifetime. Way to go!!!

One question - was it difficult figuring out how many leftover pieces to add to the final border to get it to come out right? It looks like you had no trouble getting all those leftovers to fit. Whenever I do a pieced border I always have to fudge to get it to fit perfectly. Trying to figure out the size to make the inner borders so the pieced border fits is always a challenge for me.

What the name of this pattern? I know I marked it as one I'd like to make but who knows where I put it or what it's called. hahaha

It is Jenny's "Pinwheels on Point" .... when you are done snowballing the strip blocks to get the pinwheels, you have tons of the little blocks left... you square them to 3.5 inches... so finished they are 3 inches. I just divide the length of my side by 3 to figure out how many of them I needed to make the outer borders. Mine just happened to divided by 3 evenly. Luck I guess. LOL

That turned out really nice! I was shocked at first glance that you did a flying geese border, then realized that your colors made it look that way with the cut off pieces. Great job.

Oh good grief! I checked and Jenny did this tutorial a year ago this month. I did my strip blocks that week. A year... this has been a UFO for a year?
