    My Very First Quilt

This is the quilt that I made for my mother-in-law. I had no idea on what I was doing, went through numerous magazine, websites and of course I never found Missouri Star Quilt. Really wish I had but I found it since then.... yippppeeeeee.

Anyway, my mother-in-law loves Magglio from the Detroit Tigers so I added pictures of him into the quilt. She sleeps with him every night! She had blankets given to her by my husband and his brother - she sent them packing. Mom said she will no longer use them, she has her "man" to be with now. So I guess I am Number 1 in her eyes now.

Since making this quilt I have learned a lot. I am in the process of making 2 Hey Diddle Diddle quilts, so glad the videos are here because I keep going back and looking. It will take me a long time to be as good as all of you - but I will get there.

Great job!!! What a treasure too. I love the hunter green, with the sunflowers fabric. One room in my house is done in sunflowers, and hunter green; so this would go perfect in there.

                  Re: My Very First Quilt

Thank you, it was definitely fun to do and it made me fall in love with quilting. So glad that I got in to this.

One thing I did find out though on pictures, it is not that easy to do if you make your own solution for your printer. I tried and tried with homemade solution and after trying with about 35 prints, only 7 worked out. To me it was very difficult so from now on I buy the pre-made - a whole lot easier and faster.

If anyone has any tips or tricks that make it easy - please let me know.

                  Thanks!
