Each time the Air Force moves us, I prepare ahead of time by building up a stash of fabric so I stay busy while waiting to be called for job interviews/landing a job. A few years back, before the AF moved us to Florida, I worked on this quilt top. It took about three months from start to finish. But, in this picture, you don't see the borders, which is a checkered border (inner border), and a solid red border (outer border). It is a Queen size quilt; and I got the pattern from McCalls Quilting Magazine (I believe it's from April, 2009, if I'm not mistaken). Anyway, I loved how the top came out that I had it custom quilted.
