I'm making a bit of headway

Progress? It's coming along. Top to rag.JPG

Now I have something that I can work on at night and justify sitting on my bum!

This is only the top half of the top of the quilt. I have about half of the bottom half blocked out already.

it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

Oh, Lana, I guess I have to start over . . . it's not a duck. It's a penguin. My 7YO granddaughter was about 2 when we took her to see "March of the Penguins". She didn't sit still long enough to see anything of the movie - what did we expect? But, she has been crazy about penguins since.

Once I have it clipped and ragged I think the penguin will show up better.

      Hugs!!

Very cute Sandy! I hope some day I'll have grandchildren to sew for! Kids quilts are so much fun.

Oh Sandy it is adorable!! I think you are right, once you get the bottom half done and get it clipped there will be no doubt that it's a penquin and a cute one at that!

Absolutely adorable...love the colors and the prints...What a lucky little "penguin" to have a grandma making a quilt for her (okay, it should have been lucky ducky, but let's not mess with Sandy)! LOL I love it...Barb

Very cute. Looks like it's going to be a good sized quilt as well.

Oh Sandy that is addorable. I have done several rag quilts but never one like this, I'll have to keep this in mind for future quilts. Every time I get on the forum I am always amazed at what all of you do. It makes me even more aware of what all I have to learn and can learn on here. Does anyone have a pattern for a rag quilt Christmas Tree or know where I can find one. A friend had one that I was going to use but she has moved. I found one online but wasn't crazy about it.

                            Sandy that is too cute.
Love the penquins. I used to watch that for hours, literally. It always makes me laugh.

I've had this picture in my quilting bucket for quite awhile. One of these days, I plan on making the duck...may tweak the border some, but all in all, I want a quilt almost like this!!
