    D9P lap quilt

I finished a D9P lap quilt for my sister. I used Summer Breeze and FMQ loopy-loops. This is my first time doing the loopy-loops and a scalloped edge. I also added butterflies in the corners using my Sizzix cutter. It is far from perfect but I really like it

I love it...it's like a breath of spring. The butterflies are a nice touch and the scallops really set it off. Very feminine.....Barb

What a great job there, Marebear. I love those scalloped edges on your quilt. I'm not brave enough to try those yet.

Very pretty, love the butterflies, just the right added little touch. I'm working on my first DP9, hoping it comes out as well. It really helps a lot when we can see one finished.

This is just so pretty, the colors are great and the scalloped border really suits it, well done.

wonderful! Love those colors and the butterfly is a nice touch? Did you use charm packs? if yes, how many did you need?
I'm making a D9P lap quilt from charm packs too and I'm not sure if 2 will be enough...

                            Thanks everyone

Alicaz - I used Summer Breeze charm packs and that lap quilt took 2 of them and I had a few squares left over. I added a 2.5 inch border (white) and then a 6 inch border (blue) so that it would accommodate the scallops. The finished quilt measures about 45 x 51 after washing and drying. You can always add more/bigger borders to make it larger.
