    Recent quilting

Just thought I would try posting a couple pictures to this note and to a new gallery - Robert's Quilting.

The first two are Double Diamond Table Topper's - made a couple of these as wedding presents recently. Not hard to do. The last is a French Braid that I pieced and then quilted over the weekend. Was just some scrap fabric to see if I could do it, kind of like it and would like to do another one in other colors.

Enjoy reading other's queries, notes and comments on the MSQC forum. Thanks. Robert.

Love your work, Robert. Recently saw the double diamond. Do you have the ruler or did you just eye-ball it? If you have the ruler, where did you get it? I've never seen one in the local stores.

Took a class at a quilt shop in southern Minnesota that had them, and taught it at another shop here in Iowa. ALso will be demoing at our guild this fall. Both ruler's come as a package. Go on there web site - google Double Diamond and you can see examples and order from there or have your local shop order them. Different type of embellishment.

Actually, Martha, his technique for the Double Diamond is quite easy - using the special rulers. It is an amazing technique and really adds a very special embellishment to something that is already great. I need those rulers!!

          Thanks for sharing, Robert.

Love the black, white, and red table topper! My daughter does something similar with paper, for cards. Very nice. Must look up these rulers! Too cool~

I've not seen this pattern before. I may have to check out the rulers as well. Very impressive.

The double diamond design is new to me as well. Robert, it is outstanding! Your color choices bring the blocks to life.
The French braid runner is quite attractive too.
