My son loves dragons. Several years ago he found this beautiful fabric that I had no idea what I would do with it. I agreed to buy some (I got 6 yards) with the agreement that he would help me find a pattern that would work with it.
First he found a bear claw that he liked but it was too small for the dragons to show. I'm not good at math so I struggled with figuring out how to make it bigger so we kept looking. He found a 1930's red and white quilt that had 12 1/2 inch solid blocks with pinwheel blocks. We decided it would be perfect and here are the results. I knew I hit the mark when my 14 year old said it was beautiful and even gave me a hug.
