this is the little quilt I just finished. I used the half hexagon template and scraps from other projects, white muslin for the backing.

The hexes were sewn on my machine. i hand quilted about 1/4 inch inside each seam then marked the scalloped border. i learned to hand quilt many years ago but haven't done a lot in recent years due to carpel tunnel issues. i've found my hands bother me less if I don't use a hoop but you really have to baste well so there is no shifting.“What we do for ourselves dies with us.
