How wonderful it is to have a grandchild to love and share your love of quilting with...are you teaching her how to sew yet?? I'm looking forward to the day that I can share my love of quilting with my grandkids too! She is adorable by the way!!!! And the quilt is so cute!!!
Your GD is darling, and her new quilt is charming. Is that a disappearing 9 patch? Wonderful colors.
Thank you! It is a disappearing 9 patch that was 'shaken up' and randomly put back together. It was a lot of fun to do and was my first FMQ, mitered corners on the border and an artificial piping insert.
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.
Sandy, your little grandchild is gorgeous. So is her new special gift from grandma. She will sleep each night with your love wrapped around her. So happy for you both!
Oh! So cute! And I love the quilt too!
It looks like there is no way you'll be able to get that away from her in the near future to wash it.
Love that disappearing 9 patch. It makes such neat designs.
Cuties---both quilt and lovely little lady! How precious! It is a shame that it is so warm here right now. I hope she will kick it off in the night. I am sure it will not leave her side for many a year! Great job, Grandma!
Love it, you did a beautiful job. I have the Butterfly Garden charm pack and have been having trouble deciding which pattern to use, this beautiful D9P has helped me make up my mind. What a lucky little girl and grandma.
