    first Quillow

something got in between me and my oriental shawl = my first quillow!
I had to try one as soon as I saw the link 10 days ago on this forum.
Naturally it is not perfect, but I'm sure the next one will be. Especially, the handles will be on the right place. as well ass the outside block will not be upside down.
    Nobody is perfect.
DH is happy with this one. As we're going on a bus tour next week, he'll be needing it. He's following a chemo therapy and he's always cold.
I also weaved the yellow cushions on the bench, but already 2 years ago.
Now the oriental shawl is definately my next project.Quillow 2 copie.jpgQuillow 4 copie.jpg

Mamaquilt - WONDERFUL!!!! You did a great job for the first - so happy DH loves it, too. I've done some weaving in the past but nothing as intricate as your great cushion covers!!! What size/type loom do you have?

Sandy - have a look in my album. I put a picture of the loom in there. Actually the loom is called Rita and it is weaving 1 meter wide. In the picture you can see a second one, we call them click. On that one you can weave only 0,50 meter wide.

I'm selling the Rita one, as I cannot "mount the warp" (don't know the exact expression in English) by myself anymore, because of my hands. The smaller ones I'm still able to handle.

This way I also have more time for sewing and quilting and I still can do some weaving on the smaller one and sew the fabrics together.

Great job on the quillow! I've never made one. But, I sat against one last night at a graduation party. It was nice and comfy! These can be as fancy or as simple as you want. Lots of flexibility in the design.

                        |Awesome quillow. I am hoping that is my next project. I am taking a class in "quilt as you go" and I am having issues with the flying geese portion of the quilt. I have never done them before and they are giving me lots of issues.....lol
