Cosmetic tote.

I just couldn't stand it any longer. I got in my sewing room this afternoon and made this cosmetic tote to take to MI with me Saturday.The fabric is like crushed velvet. Got all fancy with the pull but I like it.Hugs to all.

Come to think of it ladies I have never made me anything for just me. Hmmmm I like this. One catch though.... I told my daughter she could have it when I get back home. I will enjoy it for a little while anyway.

Well Marebear thats the trouble with me I never have a pattern I just make stuff up as I go. In this case I had a bunch of 8" squares of fabric and I quartered them and sewed them back together and it wasn't tall enough so I cut another 8" in half and added 1/2 of a 4" to the ends and sewing it on the top,I made 2 panels and laid them on the lining and sewed the lining on the back side then trimmed it to match then sewed in the zipper before I ever put it together, I then cut the bottom squares out for the corners serged it together,closed the corners and turned it wha laaa.Another tote!!! Other than the lining it is the same as the big totes you learned how to make on youtube. I hope this helps. I really don't know how to put a zipper in but I just got lucky with this one.Thanks for asking. My trip is fast approaching and I am getting excited. hugs
