recent tote

made this one as a gift for DD....birthday is her tomorrow....my 36yo baby

made the foundation using scrap strips sewn on muslin squares, then pieced together to form rectangles....used a very heavy pelon on front and back....and thought there was really no need to quilt further as there is so much stitching in the strips....

worked around the straps...first tried web strapping, no good...finally sacrificed some of the strip fabric and i think it looks ok

pocket inside made from some of the strip fabric....
