Ever wished you could design your own fabric?

I made this out of scraps, and now can't find anything I like for the back. The front reminds me of a box of crayons. Too bad I can't find a print that looks like melted crayon bits. Lots of splotches of bright colors.

Thanks for all the help I started to order the crayon fabric, but they only had half a yard left. Bummer, might have to search for that fabric in google to see if anyone else has it. I did do another search for butterflies and found this. Not sure yet, but I may go with it.
All of those fabrics you found were great.

Hey starlover... I knew right away someone would post about spoonflower... that's a great site with almost too much for the imagination... but I knew right away where you were going with this... I MAKE my own fabric all the time and have for years.... I think it's what started me into quilting... My crazy funky way of just cutting up and stitching all together to make "totes",,, was LONG before they started making "patterns" for quilted bags and such... I just hate to see a piece of fabric go to waste.. now that I have a machine to "quilt on" (using that term loosely in my case..LOL)... it's been a whole new world for me.. quiltied fabric was just too much per yd. for my taste.. so that's how it all began!!
