Found it.....ordered it.....got it....... TERRIFIED to cut it cuz it's so beautiful.

DH wants 2 lap quilts for the living room made out of this.

OK, I will start slow and pre-shrink it first and then hold my breath and CUT!

I would not cut that beautiful fabric! NO NO NO!

Just sandwich it and quilt it.

Maybe back it with minky! One with red backing the other with blue backing.

I meant to only order 5 yards but ordered 5 1/2 by mistake.....ohhh my bad.

OK Cyndi, I like your idea, cut and then buy more. (DH DOESN'T like your idea though.....too bad for him)

I need a total of 160 6" blocks for the 2 lap quilts (48 X 60) so this may be a spring....summer...fall project. lol

OH FYI it was 9.25/yrd ....good deal

I understand you hesitating to cut it. It is the scariest part of the quilting I do. And that is really so pretty.

Hey Lorie, there will be narrow strips in 2 different co-ordinating sold colors separating the burst of color of the main fabric in each block.

I was soooo smart when I designed the block. I drew the layout for one block and then did a mirror image for the second block.
Silly me, they were actually the SAME DARNED block just turned sideways.

So I only need one block design and then just rotate it to get the layout I wanted. (drawing second block was sure a waste of time lol...guess I'm not that smart after all)

BUT, I have no seams or matching points to worry about when these all go together. Good thing since there are a lot of blocks.

Fabric is coming out of the dryer in just a few minutes. Then I will take the plunge, I promise.

It is beautiful, just cut off that extra 1/2 yard and keep it to pet.

I agree with this idea since you got 1/2 extra cut it off and save it to look at and touch!!

I would use it for backing fabric so I would not have to cut it!
