    Butterfly Carnival Quilts

I bought this fabric over 2 years ago and was looking for the right pattern and knew once I saw the BQ2 pattern from Maple Island that was it!

The pattern was quick and pretty easy - took me a weekend to complete. It was VERY hard to cut this fabric but I think they came out pretty nice.

First I made it up in Red and then did the Blue fabric. TI used Hoffman Red 1895 batik, Raven black batik, and sun island sun batik fabrics along with the Butterfly Carnival for the red one. I am not sure of the colors for the Blue one sorry, I am using black minky on the back for both of them.

They are both off being quilted now and I will be selling them in May.

    Enjoy!!!!

These are gorgeous! Very oriental. I was looking closely at the butterfly fabric, and I think I have the red/orange one in my cabinet. Wow! Never remember what I've got stashed away.
