    2 quilts 1 layer cake

    IMG_3704 (640x480).jpgIMG_3702 (640x480).jpgIMG_3703 (640x480).jpg

I was able to make both these quilts with 1 layer cake, and yardage of the cream. The large one is 80x 80 and the smaller baby quilt is 41x 41.

Sunny, those quilts look wonderful. You did such a great job on them. I love the circle quilts and have 1 planned for our oldest DD, so would love any advice you can give on doing it?? Did you use the fusible web to stabilize your circles before sewing them on? If you did, can you feel it now that they are sewn together? You have inspired me to get started! It looks like your little furry friend loves the quilts too!

Very pretty. Do you have the easy circle cutter from Jenny's tut? Nice job.

Thanks, I didn't use the fusible web, but you could. If you used the really light web, I blanket stitched around the openings. You could do a 1/4 in seam if you like the raggy edge look. My large one is blanket stitched and the smaller one is 1/4 inch to go raggy cause it is a baby blanket. They are alot of fun and go together very quickly.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

You know you've had too much coffee when you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

I have 2 layer cakes and have planed on making this quilt but haven't got started yet. Other things keep getting in the way. I love the colors you used. They both look terrific. Great job! Hugs, Jan L
