I've had a lot of questions

    Turning Tool for Snowmen Legs.jpg

I posted a picture in my album and several have asked what I meant - to be used for turning snowmen legs. I think an explanation is in order - this is not the only use, BTW. This is part of the Fast-Turn system. How many times have you made a 'tube' where you fold the fabric face to face, stitch along the long side and turn it right side out? Uses? Maybe anything from spaghetti straps to a bag handle, or even that neat woven quilt patch my sister does - the one that looks like a star when finished?

Anyway, I made hanging snowmen at Christmas:
    Marilyn's Snowman.jpg

Their long legs are a tube of cloth with upholstery welting (piping) in the tube for support. The legs use a 1" welting. The new tubes I found can be used to 1) turn the tube of fabric, and 2) pull the welting through at the same time.

Wallah!! Snowmen legs, the easy way.
Sometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

Whoa, adorable snowman! Super cute! I guess I need to google the 'fast turn' system. I make woven Easter Baskets that have a whole lotta stuffed tubes.

Ha ha. I knew what you meant, but didn't know it could be used to turn such small tubes. I too would love to see a pic of sis's quilt.

I have a really old one I got off ebay. So great for tiny, skinny straps. I was meaning to ask where you got the pattern. I thought I had it saved.

The snowman embroidery is by Anita Goodesign. I'll have to bring the CD up from the sewing room and get the exact name. I can't find it on my searches right now. It takes at least a 6"x10" hoop.
