    Bubble Quilt no. 2 done!

I made a bubble quilt for a friend's niece earlier this year and it was a LOT of work (but fun!) and I really felt I could improve my process in several ways. So when another friend asked me to make one for her daughter I set to it! We picked out the farbrics from my stash and it turned out quite Easter-y lol. The first fabric she picked was the white one with flowers, so we tried picking others that would go with that. I gave her the quilt today (she is paying for materials) and she liked it!

The back was nice and flat until I stuffed the bubbles! They aren't really dense at all but of course they still "shrink" a bit. It's no big deal since it still lies flat but I'm thinking there might be a better way to do this. Filling first and putting the back on after is NOT an option though, I tried it (a few different ways) with the last quilt!

My daughter Alice REALLY wanted to be in one of the pics too.

How cute is that with a ruffle...great job, Anna. I wouldn't worry about the back because the front is so darling.

That is just adorable and really love that ruffle!

If you do another one, try Jenny's method and see how you like it. In the video she uses minky charms but you could use any size fabric and probably any type like flannel would be soft and cuddly.

Is that the one that is more a puff quilt? It sounds really cuddly although not quite a playmat maybe.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

                        Thanks so much all!

Hm that link isn't working for some reason, Annika - seems it's missing the last letter. Here's the one I have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as_IUHXR3oA.

It's lovely and looks so nice! It's just not the kind of quilt I had in mind, I wanted a really bubbly one.
