Just completed this sweet baby quilt - measures out at 40x40, I love the way the borders came out with the straight line quilting! I winged the design here, and made the top with two different charm packs (a print and a solid), I used yardage from Connecting Threads for the borders, the backing is a print from Moda and the extra HST's from the top, the binding is Kona Solid and a piece of the backing! Quilted with Aurifil 40wt, which I now love!!! I still need to wash it so I am excited to see how it scrunches up!! Apologies about the crummy pictures, I should break out my digital more often!!!

Re: Girly Baby Quilt
You "winged" the design??!! That is awesome. I never get anything like that when I try to "wing" something. LOL This is really beautiful. I like your straight line quilting in the borders too. Something I wanted to try for a quilt I'm working on because it came out a little bigger than I thought and I'm not quite ready to FMQ on something I actually care about yet.
Do you use one of those hanger things that go on the presser foot somehow to measure your lines or just "eyeball" it and go?Vicki
Is a Nine Patch part of a 12-Step program? :icon_beuj:
