This is a new tutorial I just put together. A new member just asked about how to do this.

I just watched all 5 segments of your tutorial and love it!! I like the concept of making the larger JRRs in three sections to avoid having to wrestle with one large, awkward top. Great job, Jean!

    Sorry, Judy! I fixed it!

your quilt looks really nice. i usually don't like the look of a jjr just because it is too chaotic to my eye.(too much of that in life)

Oh my, Jean that looks super, what fun to finally have a JRR Quilt big enough to grace the bed of our JRR Queen. Your tutorials turned out very well, thank you for sharing with us.

I just completed doing a tutorial series on using the jelly roll race technique to make an extra long and wide quilt top for a queen or King size bed. Inspiration for doing the quilt top this way came from a discussion Jenny and I had last fall at our forum retreat. I wrote up my directions once I got home last October, but never tried doing the process for myself. I had 4 jelly rolls with 24 strips in each from Big Lots, which was just the perfect number of strips for me to use to make a top for my queen bed. As I was making the top, I videotaped the process.

    Here it is!
