I have been working on these Pineapples (design by Bonnie Hunter) for about 3 weeks using my "ugly" jelly roll strips - funny how when you put them all together they are not as ugly any more.

That turned out very nice and looks like a lot of work. I have a 2.5 inch tumbler quilt I did from some of the most God-awful scraps of fabric that is actually one of my favorites. For some reason all those little bits of ugly seem to work really well together.

Before you speak, T - is it TRUE? H - is it HELPFUL? I - is it INSPIRING? N - is it NECESSARY? K - is it KIND?
It's funny when you buy a jelly roll and you have a couple of strips that don't seem to go with the rest. I love your quilt, the WOW fabrics really set off the other fabrics.
It's a super quilt and not ugly at all. I adore scraps!!!!
I just hope my daughter bought a Bonnie Hunter book. (Among other things , like maybe some nice fabrics ). She'll be back from the UsA next weekend.

funny how when i put them all together they are not as ugly anymore. the joy of cutting little pieces of fabrics and sewing them all back together again!! LOVE THAT!! the pattern is called a Pineapple block and was much easier to make than it looks. This one is queen bed size and will be fabulous whenever i get it quilted. dreaming about saving up enough to buy a new machine head to fit the frame - found a used one for $1,500........dreaming..........
