My version of the Disapering Pinwheel

Here is the final decision on the layout.

Only thing I wil changes is the bottom right blue block.
I will put in a red block instead.

    So what you think?

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I think you done good! All it needs is to be curled up with on the sofa or in your favorite chair for a snuggle.

Re: My version of the Disapering Pinwheel

It is a terrible picture. The colors are much better in real life.

Anyway, I have now put all the block toghether in a flimsy and I like it!

Now I will save up some cash so I can buy the border fabric and I am thinking.

A 2.5" background color for a border. Then a picede border of either pinwheel or smaller version of the blocks.
Then a 2.5" background color for the finishing border.

Then a darker color for the binding. Maybe chocholat brown. do not know yet.

                  This might be my favourite.

I will show a picture when it is done.

Now next on my program is sandwhices a quilt and decide on how to fmq it.

Here is a picture of the one I am talking about.

                  Any suggestion on fmq ?

That's so pretty. Yes to putting a red block in the bottom corner.

Annika!!! You've done it again! Both quilts are beautiful! And you know what I like about the second one? It's the way you did the sashing between the blocks! I love that diagonal pattern...what a great, great idea! I might have to "borrow" that idea! I'm obsessed with feather quilting right now...how are you at that??

                            Thank you!

I am ok with feathers but I am thinking like this.

I like to highligt the furrows and keep the big squares prominent.
So Mabyee stippiling in the furrows and for the squares I have no idea yet.
But I am gonna get me a pencil and some see throw paper and start drawing to day and see what will be good.

I found a picture on the internet of the quilt so I have no pattern but made the quilt from the picture.

Nice work. Love the way you alternated the two blocks. I agree with replacing the blue one.
