    MY SISTERS FIRST QUILT

My sister just got started in quilting. This is her first quilt. She has been coming over once or twice a week for a couple hours to learn how to make a quilt. She finished it last night. She wanted to make a jelly roll quilt but didn't know you could buy the strips already cut so she cut each strip (with scissors) and put this together. She is so proud of it and I am proud of her. She is even turning her daughters bedroom into a sewing room!! Her DD joined the marines back a few months ago and I was shocked when she told me she wanted to take up sewing. She wants to make baby quilts and donate them to the hospital where she works. Needless to say she has been bitten by the quilting bug.
    Thanks for looking.
    Hugs from KY

I already have Jean.A few years back I set her up big time. Got her together EVERYTHING she would need to get started but she never got interested til this empty nest thing hit. This is crazy Kim you met in Paducah. Now I will get her to join here and get her addicted to this place. I'm a very good influence

Thanks for the wonderful comments everybody. She will be tickled when I tell her.

Kim did a great job! I remember empty nest syndrome when my only child left home. A hobby she loves will help!

I'm with Jean! I was gonna say "Great quilt!" But girl, you've got to teach her about a rotary cutter!

The quilt is fabulous - even more so is the time that sisters spend together. Love the time with mine!!!

                              Keep her stitching, Rhonda.
