Double Slice Layer Cake - 2nd Quilt

This is a double slice layer cake that Jenny has a youtube video on and I had to make it!! I used Moda Roueneries Deux French General, using a different brand of fabric for the binding and Kona Solids for the backing. I did mess up the lines of the backing but I figure for using different fabric for the back for the first time, I'll live. I quilted stich in the ditch, but I'm not a huge fan. Also, it's a Christmas/Birthday/This is your gift for the year for a close friend and she'll love it! And I'm not waiting for my birthday so she has a reason to snuggle up in the quilt as soon as possible!

Those fabrics are gorgeous. Fabulous colours and mix. I bet your friend'll love snuggling up in that.

Nice job and beautiful colors. I love the double slice but always forget to turn the blocks but it still comes out looking nice.
