    What I Did Today

Was randomly pull scraps from my ginourmous scrap tote and made a small string quilt for the PICU. One of my most fave gals on here is my inspiration. She knows who she is. I just closed my eyes, dug in and grabbed. No rhyme or reason. I also didn't worry about the white all lining up...I think it turned out cute. I even used scrap binding sewn together.

That was a good day! It came out really cute and it was a very good use of scraps.

I'm impressed. I hope someday I can reach in the scrap bag and pull something like that out.

Those string quilts are a blast to make. Best part is not worrying about the "matchy-matchy" stuff. I don't have enough kid scraps to make one, but maybe enough that can pass for an older girl.

            Looks great!

Not Babs, and didn't even make a dent in the scraps. I see many more in my future. The only thing that was even measured (width) was the white in the middle. Grabbed cut, sewed...didn't even use a straight edge if I cut bigger pieces. It was fun and freeing.

Kind of like my 'best quilt' to date.
