A little while ago I saw these really cute and funny slippers on Pinterest, made using log cabin blocks. I chased down the pattern and wasn't surpriced to find it was from one of my favourite bloggers, Ayumi Takahashi (Pink Penguin). Here are my first pair! I made the large version (there are three sizes in the pattern) and I plan to make more. I made the blocks mainly from scraps (Annika, can you spot yours??), linnen for the inside and a thicker cotton fabric I've been wanting to use for a while, for the "underside" of the soles. We have wooden floors so I might have to get that "anti-slip" stuff from the crafts store to put on the soles, we'll see. I guess I will let a guest try them out, as they are meant for guests anyway!
