    LOL, I'm kind of a FBTSOMP girl too and have gotten in trouble for it a few times. But it usually works out and I always learn something.

    Oh yes!!!! All Cut wrong (as in I did not take the 1/2" off the 5" squares as it said to do).. AND have sewn them into a shape that is never going to be the square it was supposed to be.. but I'm a Lemonade from Lemons kinda gal... i'll come up with something!!!!

    Oh that "fly by the seat of my pants" method can get me into some sticky situations also. In the end I manage to get something good out of it.

    Can't wait to see the end results.

    So here I am again.. I got all the pieces cut for the tutorial that was posted and I had found once before for a "whirly gig" sort of quilt... In true GB fashion,, I breezed thru the reading and didn't pay a lot of attention to the position of the joining..things were fine at first, but I stepped away and didn't come back for a few days... I always need to do something almost start to finish to get a good result..
    All that being said: Here is what I had to concoct to use the hundred or so pieces I had all cut... LOL
    Not sure where it's going, but thought I'd give you all a chuckle.. and will post again when it comes together...
    This is the FBTSOMP technique I use most often.. and why I always say.. No mistakes.. only creative opportunities!!!
