The first FMQ I did myself!

I recently purchased a Juki machine and free motion quilted an entire quilt-all by myself. Many newbie mistakes but it still turned out pretty good and I had the best time quilting it! I used a pattern from a quilt I did earlier but the different fabrics changed the look. I'm hooked on FMQ! I'm anxious to do another one but need to letmy poor arthritic/carpal tunnel hands rest up. Many thanks to all of you for all the great tips I read daily.100_2303.jpg

You have done a great job. Rest up those hands and wrists before getting into the next one.

Looks like a beautiful job. It is a bit hard on the hands. I use the quilting gloves from leah Day and. I think Missouri Star has them too. They help to have less stress on your wrists and fingers. Colors go together pretty too. Nice!

Love this. Great job on the FMQ. Get some gloves, they do help considerably.

So happy to hear your first attempt went so well and led to such joy! The quilt is fabulous! My first FMQ only told me how hard it was haha.

You did a wonderful job! By all means let your hands rest. FMQing really hurts my hands, too.

Great job. I wish I felt confident enough to try FMQ. I'm not ready for it. I don't have a foot for one. You created a great quilt.
