    embroidered quilt,in progress

Well, I've finally started working on my embroidered quilt again. It seems this will be a work in progress forever at the rate I'm going. This re-hooping business is driving me crazy especially when it doesn't line up correctly, which has been a lot lately. Some blocks have to be re-hooped up to five times, I'm beginning to think you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

Anyway here is what I now have done as far as the embroidery part on the blocks, I have about a quarter of them done. After all the pieces are embroidered then I will cut them down to the specified sizes and they go into pieced quilt blocks, hopefully within the next few years

Thanks for looking and letting me whine a little!

Your blocks are exquisite. Where did you get the designs? They will make a stunning quilt or anything else you make with them.

Thanks everyone! The quilt is called Looks Like Spring from Smith Street Designs. If you have a large hoop they can be done in one hooping but my largest hoop capability is a 5x7, that's why they have to be re-hooped. I was excited at first to learn this technique so I could do larger pieces but after doing it I'm not so sure if I'd ever do it again.

Best of Luck with it.. take your time and persevere!!!

those are just beautiful. Which I had thought about getting a machine that I could also do embroider. Once you are done that is going to be a very pretty quilt.

Your blocks are amazingly beautiful. I'm sure the quilt will be fantastic when you finish. It does look like a lot of work though. Good luck with your patience as you finish. Be sure to share your finished quilt with us.
