Just wanted to post a pic of my first FMQ and applique. It's a small baby blanket which will go to charity. The first of many I hope.

I think it was a free craftsy pattern. It's not quite the same as was shown but pretty close.

Oh how wonderful. I have absolutely nothing of my grandparents. All was lost during the war but it would mean so much to me to have something like that. It took me thirteen years to even track down a photograph of my fathers mother and I do treasure that.
