Ben & Becca make their first quilt

Got to do 2 things today...spend time with the grandkids...Ben and Becca...and "helped" them to make a small quilt. They were both so excited to get to "quilt" with Mimi.
Start them young...maybe they will love it as much as I do someday.

Some of the greatest joys of being a grandmother are being able to transfer knowledge and crafts to those coming along behind us. Lucky YOU, Lucky Ben and Becca!

Don't you just love those times? I know I do. My youngest GD is going to be my quilter. She has the desire, but the attention span of a gnat, lol.

I completely understand about the attention span....Becca is 4 and Ben is 3. I'm hoping this summer I will be able to get my 2 oldest grandsons interested. They are 6 now and have been in kindergarten this year, so their attention span should be a little bit longer now. Time will tell!

That's so sweet, your grandkids are adorable and the mini quilts are so cute. I am trying to hook my 9 year old niece on sewing and it may work. She took a kids class at our local fabric store and she sewed a bag later with me helping a little bit.
