    Quilt for my Mom

Originally, this quilt was not suppose to be done until March 31 for my Mom's birthday. But she had surgery and I thought it would be better for her to have an early birthday present to stay warm with. Last week, I had sewn the squares into 4 patches because of the light dark ratio of the quilt colors. I had planned on working on Sunday but didn't feel the best. So Monday night about 8 o'clock I started in again. My dear sweet husband helped me to tie the quilt on Monday night/Tuesday morning. I finally got the quilt finished at 3AM. I did get a little sleep before getting up to leave at 8:30AM. I had stopped to make on the way before I went to her house. The lack of sleep was worth it as she loved the quilt.

I did get a picture of her with the quilt but you know how it is after having surgery so I'm not going to post that one. I did get a smile on her face.
