Productive sewing weekend

I decided to take the weekend for sewing..I needed to finish the stuff for the baby shower and I got two dozen burp cloths done and the minkee rag quilt.


I also wanted to get started on the big stack of UFO's that I have...I finished one that I did from Ricky Tims convergence quilt book.

I was able to get two more ready for quilting! Yay!

Lovely projects! You were really busy. I love that little Minky quilt. It's so cute and I can tell you from experience that a new mother can never have too many burp cloths. Nice job.

I love the rag quilt! How do you make the burp cloths?

I used flannel on one side, terry cloth on the other. The measurements were about 17 x11. Sewed right sides together, left a space to turn, the top stitched all the way around.

You've been busy! Your third one is really interesting. It looks like Hawaiian Tapa cloth. That is all pieced?

It is bark cloth. It is pieced, strips varying sizes, sewed together then cut into varying size strips again.
