It is really cool to make a quilt with fabric from a favorite theme like a cartoon that the kids love. I did similar, only it was a pillowcase. My G-daughter loves the book Cordoroy...the little bear with green overalls and the button is missing (in the first book) and he goes searching for it.
I wrote about it in my blog....
Fabric And Memories: The Pillowcase Adventure Makes Memories
and she loves it! I later made a doll quilt that is "symbolic" of the stories we make up...dont' have pics of that yet...but she just loves it and what a memory these two items will be for her...and hopefully her children! This is part of why I usually make my quilts to include a memory.Comment
