Just finished my second sample memoryquilt, now they are both done.
My plan is to make a sort of certificat to go with the quilt, and a box of color catchers and laundry instructions to go with that. I am planning on adding a picture of the quilt also, after that put all that information in a nice folder and put it in the bag with the quilt.
All in all my plan is clear......took me about a year to get this far
Next wednesday I have an apoitment with the funeralhome owner who wants to add memeoryquilt option to his site, so that is very cool I think. We need to talk about prices and things like that, I looked around on the internet and some people ask sooooo much money for this type of quilts.......700 euro's and more.... that is way overpriced I think, but I need to talk about things like that with him.
Made some more kleenexholders as well, since he was interested in that also.....
Could it be happening for me that my hobby will become my job?????????
I need some good news so this is quite welcome for a change......
Hope all works out well, need a new name to advertise with, a site in the future maybe, but I take it step by step and we will see where this will lead me.......
Here the latest picuteres, I used a nice dark grey poly/wool for backing and no batting, I really like how that turned out, but I forgot I was allergic for wool.....so my contacts did not like this project at all, but is looks nice and really great for a guy shirts quilt I think. The bag is made out of the last two shirts I had left.
