    A Quilt for my daughter!

    Hi

I made this quilt for my daughter that is in a rough spot in life at the moment.

I got some inspiration last night and started a quilt from my stash.
I almost finished it to day. It is only the last border left.

    I am thinking red maybe.

It is a Zipperquilt from Jennys tutorial and it is realy super easy and super fast to do!

And so long you remember to iron the patches at the same way the seams are no problem either.

This is a picture of what I got so far!

    Enjoy!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Thank you for your words and thoughts!

My daughter has a steep climb to make but at least she is under the care of professionals.

              For the quilt.
I need to put on some borders but nothing seems to match or feel right.

I will continue to dig in to my stash, maybe I found what I am looking for in the morning.

              Have a great day/evening

The looks great so far. The white fabric with words is perfect for her. Do you have enough of it to make a thin border then add another colored border, choosing one of the colors of the words?

That is super pretty. I like the non scrappy look of this pattern. I am making one as well, but more varied colors and want to make another and I think I will borrow your idea.

Your daughter is sure to find some comfort with this quilt.

Hugs to you and your daughter

No, I used up all the fabric of the two colors in the quilt.

I have a white fabric with yellow and green print that I am considering to use.
You can see it in the light squares of the block in the picture here.

I think I might be able to use this as a 3" or 4" border and use another golden fabric for binding.

What do you think? Will that work ?
