UFO Christmas Table runner - from November... 2012...

    image.jpg
Finally done! This is a Christmas table runner that I started in November 2012.
At my daughter's 10 yr birthday party, we did an "art" theme, and this was to introduce them to "Hawaiian quilting"
I showed them some examples and told them to each fold up their fabric square and "cut a snowflake"
I had already applied heat and bond lite to each of their squares. Some kids were better at snowflakes than others, but that gives it it's character! Now my daughter will have this table runner and can reminece about her tenth birthday every year!

Machine appliquéd the snowflakes...which took forever!

What a great idea!!! I bet she remembers it always! Did you have the girls sign their blocks? If not, maybe you can make a label for the back indicating who did which one.

Thank you! My daughter is really excited about it!

We really like how it turned out! We might just need to do something like this for the other holidays!

Bernadette, what a wonderful idea. May have to steal it. I love, love, love this. Making these kind of memories is so very important in our children and grand children's lives. You rocked it.

That turned out great! I like how some didn't cut out very much, adds more color and interest in spots.

                  T - is it TRUE?
                  H - is it HELPFUL?
                  I - is it INSPIRING?
                  N - is it NECESSARY?
                  K - is it KIND?

Wow!! That is really wonderful. The girls did awfully well for only 10 years old! You finished it up beautifully.
May the road rise up to meet you...
May the wind be always at your back...
May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead...
