    Sample memory quilt done!

    Yeah.......first one is done.

    Thanks to all for the advice on borders, and Karen for the great tip to deliver the quilt in a tote!
    The black piece of the border and bag is a two inch strip folded in half and stiched between the border and the top, so it is sort of 3D ......don't know how to explain.......

    that looks great and the tote is a perfect add on for the recipient to keep it in.

              This quilt is beautiful. And. I like the tote with it. Better than wrapping paper which gets trown out anyway

                    Awesome quilt and lovely tote! I agree....great idea! I adore the way you laid out the blocks to form large arrow/zigzag design. I must remember this! Cute!

                        Quilt came out wonderful, I really like this and the tote is an added surprise. I might have to incorporate that idea if you don't mind.

                            That is perfect! The tote will be great for them to store the quilt in to keep it from getting dusty.
