    Pinwheel quilt

First time post. Finished pinwheel quilt, colors are pink, red, aqua, brown and navy. I think I will keep this for myself, didn't do such a great job on binding, oh well.

Your pinwheel turned out really nice. Remember that every quilt we make teaches us something. I think you did a fine job!

              Awesome job, Mary!
              First rule in quilting?
NEVER point out your flaws! It finished lovely.
When I first started a couple of years ago, my binding was rather crude. (I always machine tack the front and hand sew the back. I'm too much of a sissy to attempt an 'all machine' binding...)
I confronted the binding monster by making a dozen, or so, sets of potholders out of cheap FQs.
I can now 'hold my own' with binding, and am pleased with the result. (I can send off a couple of my favorite tutorials, I found along my journey, just PM me.)
There is a huge learning curve here, chica!
              You done good!
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

                          Re: Pinwheel quilt

Thanks for all the nice posts of encouragement and complements. I did sew the binding on front and hand sew the back. I felt I needed to stabilize it better and would try my first attempt at stitching in the ditch on the front side of binding. I made 1 of 3 corners and had a few oops along the way. No matter how many quilts you make, you learn from each and every one of them.
