Re: It's what's on my wall.......
First, I feel honored for getting my first 'Chica'!!!
Second, I have no clue who it is for. It was a class my friend was teaching at the shop and she talked me into taking it! With my abundance of jelly rolls, how could I say no??pat.

You sew a light and dark together, then cut them into 4.5" squares. If you have OCD, this is not the quilt for you! It caused me more grief than the D9P did!!!!pat.

I like it! Just one jelly roll? I have several sitting in my stash, this might be the pattern for them. I am a bit OCD, so was it in the layouts that it caused you fits?
I have some D9P blocks on my design wall right now. They are made out of some squares that I rec'd from Cyndi for guessing one of her contests correctly. I think I am going to make them into several little stillborn bereavement quilts.Lisa

Re: It's what's on my wall.......
I had a much worse time laying out the D9P! This was kinda confusing to me, and as you can see, the two pictures have a different layout. I had to change it up so the colors repeated the same or it would have made me crazy! I finally printed out a piece of graph paper and got out my coloring pencils and figured it out that way. I did have to rip apart some of my squares to get some more of the orange/black ones because there were not enough, and I ended up making seven of them. Today, I will try to use up the rest and decide if I am going to border it or not.....I have plans in my head, but don't know if I will go thru w/them or not!pat.

I pull out the graph paper all of the time. Glad to hear I am not the only one! I think my D9P are going to be small quilts for Sue's group, so will just be putting 4 together and bordering. I don't do completely random scrappy ever, but planned scrappy works ok for me.Lisa

I like it and I had to laugh over your comment on the OCD. The last time I asked my OCD daughter to help with a D9P layout, I thought I'd end up in a Nursing Home before she made up her mind!
I like the pattern and I see that you mentioned a light and a dark for squares. I have a colorful Fusion jellyroll. I wonder how it would look?
